Trekking is not only a great leveller but also an amazing stress-buster. It helps oneself connect with the Nature and realise that humanbeings are not the masters or custodians of the global biopsphere rather simply a part of it. Beauty and purpose of life lies in the realisation of this simple and subtle fact. However, a multitude while-away their lifetime to realise the fact and unfortunately many of us departs even without realisation. All u non-trekkers, think a while, ur biological clock is ticking fast!!!! Trekkers, i know u r always on the road to Mountain Wilderness. ... tourism is the march of stupidity and trekking is a kind of introspection, as one covers the ground outwardly, so the person advances inwardly. A journey rarely begin where we think they do. Mine started before i was born......to travel is to return to strangers, come travel, life is calling u!!!! | | Music-the connector | |

Great, uttam. Uplifting Info. Will try to drop by when passing through Delhi in the beginning of September. Will dig for details later as I am baby sitting at the moment. |

Hello Uttam, your Buran pass trek report and the pics of those never ending meadows is the flavour of the year for me. How is the idea about going upto Litham in early/mid September for a single traveller? Do the local guides provide tent or are there shepherd huts for acco? Also worried about the trail post monsoon. I'll be going through Delhi and since I'll be coming for my usual JNU walks at that time it might help if I could meet you perhaps. The mountain bug hit me while I was in JNU more than a decade ago. So it was very special to see someone from there writing about a special place.
